Hi, I’m Carl Roberts, your Money Tech Coach.
When running your own business, or working your way up the career ladder, it can sometimes feel like there is never enough time in the day and the more time you spend growing your business and career, the more your personal finances are ignored.
- You might not know where you stand financially.
- You might be missing out on the best deals.
- You might not be making the most of the money you have.
But when you get on top of your finances, get the right balance between saving and spending and have the right tools in your tool bag you can focus on all the things that really matter to you. Knowing your current and future you are taken care of.
A bit about me
Over the last few years, I have made a massive change.
For over 12 years I was employed. I worked my way up to earning a good salary, life was comfortable but I had this burning desire to work for myself and offer something different to my clients.
So I made the decision to start my own business. During the early years, it was tough. My wife and I had our first child and our income dramatically reduced.
It was especially hard for me as my business was all about providing financial advice to others!
The right tools
Finance can be a complex, technical and quite frankly, a boring subject. Traditional financial advice has tended to be aimed at the older generation. People who have already made their wealth.
This leaves younger people who have yet to really make their wealth unsupported.
Well no longer. Technology is changing the game.
Having been involved in finance for over 12 years I can honestly say now is the most exciting time in terms of the new technology that is being built to enable you to take control over your money.
In my blog, I will be identifying the latest technology and how it can help you save time, become more efficient and really grow your wealth.
- Technology reviews.
- How to use the right tech for the job.
- Tips to help you get the best deals and make the most of your money.
Ultimately I want to create a community of like-minded tech lovers who have hands-on experience of the latest money tech so we can support each other in our journey to financial freedom.
I publish a new post every week and I’m always keen to hear from you and what you need help with when it comes to money and needing a technology solution. Please drop me a message.

I am a practicing Chartered Financial Planner and run my own separate financial planning business advising clients how to achieve the lifestyle they desire.

“It’s a pleasure to work with Carl. He has a great understanding of technology and the way in which it can be utilised in a wealth management.” – J Pittham, MD – Marketing
Traditional financial advice is expensive to perform and this is why it tends to only serve older people who have built up large amounts of investments and pensions.
But I’ve always wanted to help people who are just starting out, creating the businesses of the future.
Technology really interests me and more recently I have seen some huge progress in solutions that can really help today’s freelancers, contractors and business owners.
So I’ve become the Money Tech Coach. Not to advise you (everything on this site is for guidance only and not advice) on what to do with your money but guide you in the direction of the exciting new tools that are available to empower you to manage and grow your own wealth.
